Cho-Hacha

  • ATIC administered - Votes to join ATIC in SQ34270, joins later
  • Dangerous fauna
  • Dangerous flora
  • Toxic atmosphere
  • Unexplored
  • Lawless
  • Densely populated
  • The caustic Atmosphere on Cho-Hacha makes the cities on its surface overcrowded.
  • Places
    • Space station (artificial satellite) orbiting the planet - shaped like a moon, metallic, with buildings built on the surface in two thick lines that divide it into quarters, all identical black cubes, spaceships parked around them.
      • The Forge
        • Back-dust space bar on a space station - Lax oversight by ATIC allows The Forge to operate with impunity. Frequented by space freighters who travel around the planet.
        • A neon green light sign states the name, on a particularly decrepit building with its own space dock (full of absolute wrecks of ships). The dock is a wire mesh platform in a cavernous hall with a sign reading ‘Wait here for Shuttle to Main Planet’ in Cho-Hachan. A single narrow corridor leads from the platform, ending in a dead end with three shimmering black voids, each edged by a metal frame and a sign above, reading ‘Machine Room’, ‘Research Lab’ and ‘The Forge’. The portals blink red if locked.
        • Ground floor - Pitch black doorway (portal) with blue lines floating across it, embedded in stone wall. The lines go orange when the portal has no power. Going inside, the ground floor is square with black stone tables, cheap mismatched chairs. A long bar is on the wall to the right of the portal, there’s graffiti on the wall with the entrance portal, another portal to floor 1 is on the wall to the left of the bar, dim and dusty orange and blue lights. Neon signs on the wall and exposed thick, black wiring.
          • The bar is long, with an array of drinks dispensers, each in a coin-operated bubble-like container, with multicoloured glasses beside them.
        • Floor 1 - The portal to floor 1 opens on a hallway, there is a portal to floor 2 at the other end of the hall, on the same side. Orange strip lights run along the floor. Opposite there are four doors along the wall:
          • A seemingly empty room (opposite the portal to ground floor) with no working lights. There is a pattern made up of ridged squares on the walls – it is an ex-holo room and has a secret door that leads to a dark stairwell up to the next floor and a dark corridor with a ladder to a vent in the control room in the floor above
          • Upper bar - blue neon light coming from the bar, which is smaller than the ground floor bar. Cheap tables surround the edges of the room with two chairs each. No windows, little decoration on the walls other than metal sheets with circular cut outs and vents with wires coming from them. Dusty. The floor is scratched and damaged.
          • A room similar to the others, with a round, brass table and metal chair in it. Machines on the wall with wires coming up for communicators
          • The final room is lit by neon stripes stuck to wall, has a very small bar with blue lights and there are large red barrels attached to the wall behind it. Pyramid designs on some of the walls, big circles on other parts. There’s a karka machine, a huge screen with a computer that’s bulky and grey like it was made in 1980s with lots of colourful buttons and knobs. The room is sound-proofed. There are long metal benches, some are covered in orange or white fur, with round glass tables.
        • Floor 2 - the portal leads out to a corridor that is identical to floor 1
          • The Control room is opposite the portal and contains panels, power sources, wires, cables, beer kegs, giant metal cannisters with pipes leading from them to the wall, a toolbox, a huge device plugged into machinery behind some cables covered in tubes and metal components.
          • Bar manager’s office – contains a desk filled with clutter and CCTV imagery.
    • At least two moons – the second moon is used for trading
    • There is also another port, between the moons
  • Inhabitants
    • Minister Truro – helped Cho-Hacha join ATIC
    • Local terrorist/resistance organisation called the Ma-Ray Huriya who are against ATIC. Incidents of theft and sabotage that have caused innocent deaths, including a tactical explosion at a weapons manufacturing plant.
    • Space travelling truckers/freighters frequent The Forge. They wear thick, loose layers of mutedly coloured clothes
    • Asteroidal Blastoma
    • Local authorities are called polis.
  • Technology
    • Communicators - in The Forge – Geordi La Forge-style visors covering eyes and ears, made of a silver metal band with orange lights at the front

  • History
    • Minak first encountered the Atopians when the Atopians landed ships on Minak and started trading for rare minerals only available on Minak – trade was forced when Minak later became reluctant
    • A battle for Minak freedom followed. Minak displaced the Atopian invaders and stole their space-faring technology, developing it to become the second most pre-eminent spacefaring nation
    • Harbour great hostility towards Atopia, culminating in a decades-long war – officially ended with a treaty that led to the founding of ATIC in SQ33683 – unofficially, hostilities continue to bubble along
    • Originally, Minak was supposed to be part of ATIC (MATIC proposed), but Atopia refused to be second and ATIC was founded in the diplomatic stalemate
