ATIC – Atopian Traxinian Interstellar Consociation
- A pan-nation unifying body (similar to the UN) including Atopia, Traxiniar and eight other smaller planets, some who joined after Atopian coercion and some for protection from Atopia and Minak
- Capital planet is Atopia
- SQ33681 - Atopia ejected the Minak and Traxinian ambassadors (Fhaal Niis and Zazi Micht) and broke off all trade relations. Minak and Traxinia responded in kind. All three nations then built up visible offensive capabilities at strategic locations on their planets - it is debated who initiated which arms race and in what order, but it is agreed that the outcome was a Cold War stalemate between all sides. All three nations suffered under this arrangement
- ATIC was formed in SQ33683 following a long period of interplanetary trading and cooperation between Atopia, Traxiniar and Minak that started to break down around SQ33400. This led to amilitary intervention by Minak following a trade dispute that gradually escalated into a Cold War between all three sides. In SQ33682 the great Atopia leader Zadi Gorda proposed a three-way truce. All three nations were being hit hard by the continuation of the war and this was well accepted on all sides. But neither Atopia nor Minak were willing to be second in the acronym, so Minak leader Zhalwat Ghosz cut off negotiations and formed the Minak Guild of Solidarity.

ATICB – ATIC Botany department
- Responsible for the mission to Norris to study its fauna – set off to establish a research station for locales BST-22 and BSS-22 in SQ34117 - to investigate the result of scans taken four quarters ago that revealed the possibility of interesting new fauna that could have medicinal applications. Crew of 20, take 6 SQs to get there, won’t expect results for at least 20Sqs.
- Responsible for all botanical knowledge
- ATIC botany department – releases reports of their most desired interstellar flora and fauna
- Has been going for decquarters by SQ34117, having tested all life forms and geological substances available in the vicinity of Atopia and all areas surrounding ATIC territories. Has eliminated several common yet fatal diseases, as well as creating palliatives to help reduce the impact of many, many others. This has resulted in a stark increase in the average LifeXQs and even more importantly the minimum LifeXQs for an ATIC citizen.
- Remote Botany – a department in ATICB, created around SQ34107, to use existing equipment and skillsets and our research skills, but also draw on the intergalactic travel skills of the Space Corps and develop new capabilities to investigate outside of Atopia.
- Their research has led to the creation of a large number of artificial substrates – including nutrient rich quartz (soil replacement) and horticultural saline (pink liquid). These can be harmful to bird and animal life, so be careful of pets.
- Does research in the endangered Kayna bird and developed cures or vaccines for a lot of the diseases that affect them.
